Here are some more of our quilts. We hope you enjoy looking at them. We have patterns available for some of our original baby quilts
These quilts were completed in 2005. The Purple Hat quilt was for a friend’s 40th wedding anniversary. The 2nd is a baby quilt for a friend’s baby. A Debbie Mumm pattern quilted for a gift. The next quilt is made with Batiks on a black background. It was a going away/thank you gift for a friend. The toddler quilt is made of pastel flannel. The young lady it was for turned 1 in July. The Alphabet quilt is paper pieced especially for our new little one and the “Baby” quilt is a hospital cart-sized quilt held up by the expectant mama. The picture in the center is machine embroidered. The last is a farewell gift for a friend.
Here is one of our latest efforts. The blocks are all original applique designs by Kitty. The Butterfly quilting pattern is a design by Kitty for NikKitty Quilts.
Left to right top row: Two different quilts using one of our favorite fabric lines (Berry Patch). Lil's "Farmyard Friends" quilt. Our "Geisha Fan" quilt, a civil war repo quilt made for a friend deployed to Iraq, "Katie's Counting Sheep" quilt made for our precious Katie who we lost in 2003, our "Desert Sojourn" quilt made during our time in the desert clime of El Paso.
Our "Jungle Animals" baby quilt (pattern available), "Nikkitty Log Cabin," another variation of the Jungle Animals quilt, "Nikkitty Sweethearts" quilt, "Nikkitty Catch a Falling Star," and one version of the Nikkitty Pinwheel (pattern available).
Three more baby quilts made for friends. We adore the sheep fabric used in the 3rd one. Second row: "Sue and Sam walk the Dog" (pattern available), "Texas Pride" (pattern available), "Veggie Stars"
Some of our patriotic efforts. A king-sized Patriotic quilt designed by Kitty with many blocks of Kitty's own design. Note the block with the cowboy hat, W and boot which is dedicated to President George W. Bush. The second quilt is "Daddy's Our Hero" made by Nikki for her husband when he deployed to Iraq in 2003. The wallhanging in the bottom right hand corner was made for a friend.
The first quilt is a Native American heritage quilt made for Nikki's husband when he deployed to Saudi Arabia in 2000. One of the blocks contains a picture of Lil in an Indian costume. The next quilt is of Kitty's Design and depicts the ocean and the shore. There are many different techniques used in the quilt including machine embroidery, applique, paper-piecing and big-stitch quilting. The third quilt is a photo album quilt made for a customer with scanned photographs in the center of each block. Second row: Our "Foggy Bottom" quilt, next a quilt made by Nikki and her husband together in 1998 before he went to Korea for a year's tour of duty. The bottom right corner is a part of a flannel snuggle quilt we made for dear friends in Kansas. We have many more quilts that we could show you but we decided that instead of showing them all at once here we would change the site more frequently than we have in the past.
